NUST, Google.org & The Asia Foundation Partner to Secure MSMEs
NUST has signed a grant agreement with The Asia Foundation, funded by Google.org, to launch the APAC Cybersecurity Expansion Program in Pakistan. The initiative will set up a Cyber Security Clinic at NUST to deliver cyber hygiene training, upskill MSMEs, and support research-driven cyber policy.
Over 15 months, we will fund hands-on cyber clinics and outreach, training about 100 participants to provide pro bono cyber support to nearly 300 MSMEs, NGOs, social enterprises, and community organizations across Pakistan. As part of a 15M USD APAC Cybersecurity Fund operating in 12 countries, Pakistan’s clinic is one of three university-based pilots in the region, alongside Sri Lanka and Singapore.
The program aims to protect livelihoods, safeguard data, and build public trust in Pakistan’s fast-growing digital economy.
